There are a bunch of decisions to make when you start a startup, among them to create an environment which encourages rockstars to come work for you, promotes idea cross-pollenation with other startup folks, and allows easy access to possible customers. That in turn means setting up shop in the right kind of neighborhood. If you’re starting up, you’ve probably heard about Southpark or Mission in San Francisco, Mountain View, near Castro street and other such spots. Garry Tan has helpfully come up with a bay area “where to startup” Google maps hack which is awesome. I think he’s hit all the high notes here.
